Insanity Strikes Again
In-freakin'-sane
That kind of stuff is so mind-jugglingly awesome, it rocks my socks off. Like, I don't know what to think. Could you imagine such an insane link to the past? I already feel a little overwhelmed when I just see historic sites, imagine if you could hear historic people.

As exciting as it would be to pick up the sound of Sumerian from some cuneiform tablet--this doesn't have a chance. It's like trying to find out where the Hebrews crossed the Red Sea by going there now and looking for footprints and chariot wheel tracks.

There was a battle in WWI where the Brits were pinned down by the Turkish Army. The Commander of the British forces in that area was an avid reader of the Bible, he read a passage of an ancient battle in that same exact area. The passages mentioned a secret trail that led around to the flank of the enemy army. The British Commander used this intelligence, found the same exact trail, and routed the Turkish forces.
Completely unrelated, but interesting nonetheless.

Umm....I'd be interested in researching that a bit. You know what battle it was? Or what passage from the Bible was referenced?

yeah, I just spent the last few hours looking for the battle in either the Bible or WWI, but web searching sucks goat balls.

I saw the account on television. My facts may not be entirely accurate, but I do know it was a British Commander who was fond of the Bible who used it to find a hidden path.
